Maryland Coaching Staffs
Lee, the architect of “Roughrider Nation” is a proud member of the “Corrigan Lacrosse Clan” that spans generations. It is not a mandatory requirement to play, coach and help spread the gospel of Lacrosse in the Corrigan family, but it sure helps you get along with the elders! A 1986 graduate of the University of Maryland and former player for Clyde’s Lacrosse Club (Washington, DC) and Severn River Stingers (Annapolis). Lee played on the 1989 USCLA All-star team that toured England and played a series of exhibition games against England’s World Team. Lee Coached at Watkins Mill from 1990 – 1999 where the Wolverines, a Perennial Washington Post Top 20 team were able to post a 131 -35 record and win Multiple County and League Championships. In 2003 Lee took on the challenge of rebuilding Howard Lacrosse who had won 5 games in 5 years. The Howard Lions quickly became a team to be reckoned with in Howard County Lacrosse.
Lee is the founder of Corrigan Sports Enterprises, a sports marketing and event management company that created The Under Armour All-American Lacrosse Classic and the Baltimore Running Festival as well as several other high profile events throughout the country.
During Coach Corrigan’s tenure The Roughriders have played a very entertaining style, offensively “Sharing it on the break and executing set offensive plays when we have to” has been a hallmark. And defensively “double teaming and searching & stripping” have been the norm. This style best showcases the players and has proven to be a winning combination.
